I am alittle embarrassed to say that we have not had a family picture made since Colton was born. Then before that we hadn't had one since ty was about 4 months old! How sad is that? Well, this all came about when Brycen was to take a family photo to class for a project! There was not one to be found. On top of that Brad was going out of town, and Ty was alittle under the weather. So here we are about two weeks later and we just came home from church, and I thought this was a perfect opportunity! And it was except Brad RAN upstairs to change, and came down in a oldie but goodie "Bass Pro" shirt! Yes the one with the holes, and of course the ever worn slick shorts! So, Colton sat on his lap to ensure the bass pro signia was cover, and he did not want to sit at that particular angle. Then the tears came, and my poor neighbor, who I had asked to come over to take our picture, was so patient! She snapped off about 6 pictures and this was the only one that didn't show tears, and represented our family at it's best! Yes, Brycen is making some comment and as usual it was to the loudest decimal possible! But again, this is real and this is most precious blessing God could have given me! I cherish each hectic moment! I love the fact that God has chosen me to be the mom of this crew! Thank you Lord, for yet another week to share the most precious moments with the boys and Brad!
Oh by the way, the Denton crew is headed to Disney!! I think the count down has began it is only 11 days!!!

Off to preschool with the Second One!!
Okay, not that sending one to kindergarten was easy, but sending the second one to preschool for the first day was pretty hard! Ty started preschool/mdo today at Wallace. It is a day that I thought would be extremely difficult! Not that I would breakdown any worse than when Brycen went to school, but that Ty would decide that he didn't want to go to school, and that he would rather go to Nannie's! Brad and I have been trying to make a big deal about him starting school as well as Brycen. Ty has a tendency to be shy, and more reserved. He is uncomfortable in a unusual setting, and he likes to be in control of his situation. He has cried now for about 3 months when I drop him off at sunday school! So I just could imagine how well this school thing was going to go! I don't do well when he cries when I leave him and I just dreaded this day, the first day of preschool, when it was inevitable that he would cry and tell me he wanted to go with me. Still Brad and I bought him items for school, just as if he were going to big school. We would try to remember to comment about preschool when we passed it! Anything would be better, than just showing up on the 25th and dropping him off! So last night, as I fixed dinner, I commented on how tomorrow was the "Big Day!" Oh, how his little face lite up! His smile was one of pride, excitement and anticipation. He knew his teachers name, and he knew two other girls in his class. One of which, has been his long time girlfriend, Cadence. After bath time, Ty climbed out of the bathtub, and said,"Mommy, I am going to use my manners at school tomorrow, and say Yes, mam, and no mam." I just about cried right then! The fact that he already wanted to please his teacher, made me realize that things were going to go well today!
I got Brycen up this morning and soon, we had to go and shake Daddy one more time, as a wake up call. As Brycen was eating breakfast, I heard the foot steps of the one who is always the last to get up, and the one who I dread to wake up! You see once again, Ty is just like his Daddy. You never know who is going to crawl out of bed each morning, I am careful to rub, sooth, and softly wake up he and his dad! But this morning he was in no need of a wake up call! He was "school boy!" He once again beamed with pride with the thought of today being the day he was to go to school! I beamed with pride just knowing that God had once again been faithful to answer my prayers! I know that He doesn't answer all prayers, but I do know that if I sought Him with all my heart and that if I put my trust in Him, He is faithful and just to know the desires of my heart! I love my boys more than anything and I only want what is best for them just as any other parent does, but Ty is once again special. I tend to want to shelter him due to various reasons, his shyness, his accident, and him being "the middle child." I wanted him to feel confident, and assured that he would be successful in learning new things, and meeting new friends!
Just as I did each day I drove Brycen to school, I asked Ty what he wanted to pray for before we got to school. And without hesitation, he replied "that I have a great day at school today!". So with that prayer in mind, I whispered a prayer for God to continue to watch over him today, and to hide Himself in Ty's heart that he would have a great day at school today! What more could I have prayed for!
As we walked into the breeze way of school, he stood a little taller, and he walked with a skip in his step, because he was the "school boy" today, and he couldn't have been more confident! Brad once again, made fun of the "annual staff" mom who kept snapping pictures, but I knew I wanted to capture every expression, every moment of this part of Ty's life. I want a record of "His Big Day" just as I had one of Brycen's.
Ty successfully found his room, greeted Mrs. Joan, with smile, and even found his name written just above his coat hook! Once again I shed a few tears for this is a mark of responsibility. He went on in the room and he found new friends, and found a new exciting part of his life, that he can call his own! I can't wait to hear all the new adventures that preschool is to bring in Ty's life!
Thank you Lord once again for entrusting us with these three boys! I feel so unworthy to call them each my own! I pray that each day, Brad and I do our part to ensure that they each are being molded into who God wants them to be, and being taught the things He wants them to be taught! Thank you Lord!

Boys to Men!!!
As I was talking to Mother this morning about how fast the boys are growing, I never dreamed I would come home to them wearing daddy's clothes! They are growing faster than the speed of light, but I just chuckle to think of what great men they are to become! Brad has done a great job helping me create three young men who are pure in heart, and who are men of character!! They don't even realize how big of shoes they are to fill! (and pants and shirts!)

The first day of School for Brycen!!!!
August 13, 2008....The first of school for Brycen! It was a very anticipated day. One where we would have to go to bed early, and then get up early! If you know us here at the Denton's, getting up early rarely happens!! So, here we are trying to get everyone in the bed at 9:00, when we didn't even get home until 9:15! We had baths to give, and a backpack to make sure we had EVERYTHING on the supply list in. I was feeling a little stressed! But again God is faithful. Dad came home alittle earlier than expected to help me get everyone in the bed. As I laid in the bed trying to scramble my brain to make sure I had everything done, I sat and thought about how just a few years ago, I sat up just holding Brycen, and thinking "I can't believe I am a MOM!" Now I am here saying " I can't believe my baby is going to school!"
This morning went well! I started my coffee, and then made sure all the morning needs were met. Then I went to get everyone up! Oh, how I dreaded this! I began with Ty since he is hardest, and I hate to disturb a peaceful sleeper. He is so much like his dad, you never know how he may wake up, so you have to be careful and soooooo sweet to start them off right! Then I went to Brycen. He was so big. Bigger than I remember just last night! I rubbed his back, and I gently reminded him today was the first day of school. He just moaned and rolled over. I continued to rub, and talked softly to tell him today was going to be a great day! Then he responded with, "Mom retell me again to get up" in his little sleepy voice. I didn't quite understand what he meant, and then he asked me again "Mom do it again!" So I told him again to wake up and that today was the first day of school! And without a second thought, he jumped out of bed, and ran down stairs! I chuckled and I thought, "This is probably going to be one of few times in his school career that that ever happens!"
We got breakfast, and everyone was ready to go and it was just 7:20 AM! So off we go! Brycen's backpack was almost as big as he is! As we drove to school, I asked him what he wanted to pray for. He responded with just a few requests....."Pray that I have a good day at school, and that I don't get into trouble. Pray that Nannie's twisted ankle gets better, because it is worser!" With these requests, I prayed a simple prayer with the background music of Colton screaming "Juiccccceeeeee, Mamma." Oh, how sweet the ride to school is going to be!
As we arrive at school, Daddy and Ty beat us there which upset Brycen! Then we get out of the car and poor little Brycen is loaded down with all of supplies! He reminds us he knows how to get to his class, so we allow him to lead us! He made it! Oh my goodness, he made it! He walked right in and put his lunch box, and his water bottle right where it belongs. This impressed Mrs. P. Then he put his folder where it belonged and the teacher asked him to sit down and write his name, and begin his first activity. I stand amazed at how well he is doing. I could cry, but I am so proud and so thankful for such a great little boy. As we walked out Brad looked at me and said he is going to do great! I know that, but the fact is he is in kindergarten and he is going to be in school all day everyday for the next 15 years of his life. I can't protect him from everything anymore. I can't watch him do all the amazing things he does every second of the day. I miss him already!!! School has just be going on now for about an hour! I swore I wasn't going to cry, but I must admit I have shed a few tears!
God is so good to us! We have 3 healthy little boys! All of which, are amazing! Thank you Lord for every blessing, every day! Especially today, this the first day of school!

School just around the corner?
Well, the Denton's household is about to be turned upside down! Brycen is getting ready to start kindergarten and Ty is getting ready to start preschool. I am getting ready to shed some tears. The reality of it all is setting in and I feel like I am not ready to be a room mother. I am excited because both Brycen and Ty are excited to start this new adventure in their already full schedules. You all know that the Denton's do not stir around in the morning until around 9.00! This is a hurdle we are going to have to take in stride. Brad is excited because he thinks this will be an excuse to go to the gym. I am looking forward to it for a more rigid schedule. I just hope the other two get somewhat accustom to getting up earlier! (me and brad too)
All my blogging friends have been dogging me for not updating my blog, so here you go!
Have a great day!
love you all!

The Denton Boys
My first entry on something I know nothing about! I just want to share our life with all of our loved ones! God continues to bless me and my family everyday, and I have learned so much about others through blogging, so I decided to jump on the virtual band wagon and share a piece of the Denton household.
I am a stay-at-home mom of three beautiful boys. My husband is the most wonderful man on the face of the earth. He has given me the fairytale life I have always dreamed of. I love him more today then when I first felt my heart go pitter patter! He has grown into a man that loves the Lord, and one of integrity and honor. He is a wonderful dad, and most of all my best friend.
My oldest son is Brycen Grant. He was born June 30, 2002. He was the skinniest little thing, but he changed my life in such a Big fat way. I wanted a career, and to help create a life that was comfortable for Brad and I. Instead, God spoke softly and tenderly through each little cry of Brycen's, and told me I had job far more important here at home. So with that I had a change of heart, and began pinching every cent and cutting every coupon. With God by our side, we have created a home full of love and one that is so comfortable we don't want to get out of bed until 9am! Brycen is our infomercial, dancing, engineering comedian. He is smart that he is scary. What a mom thing to say, huh? He is our blond hair, blue eyed bundle of joy. He is fixing to start kindergarten this year, and oh yes those 6:45 am wake up calls are looming. He is so excited, and I am so dreading it! As I always remind Brad, this is an exciting time and we shouldn't look at how time has flown by but we should embrace this benchmark in their lives. I say this holding back tears!
Ty is our middle child, who like to refer to as our miracle baby! It wasn't that he was hard to conceive, it was quite the opposite with all of our boys! He came unannounced, and unexpected. I never will forget the fear in my sisters voice, as she asked me if was going to do something crazy like abort the baby! I cried for three days straight. Our pastor, which is my brother in law, came over because he was worried. See I was afraid for Brycen, and how this was going to affect our lives. Dave went on to explain how God gives us a cup of love, and I would find out that that cup never goes empty. I loved that baby the instant I saw him. Even though Brad and I fought over his name, Ty was such blessing. He turned out to be our rambunctious one. He is a ball player through and through. He never backs down from a challenge. I tell you honestly that he wears his UT Vols jersey at least three days a week at times. I try to hide so that my neighbors think he does have other clothes. The miracle came back in the summer of 2007. It was the 4th of July and Brad was in Rogersville, doing a festival there with his dad. I was at the office doing payroll. My cell phone rang and it was Nannie on the phone telling me there had been an accident. Everyone was fine but they were going to the hospital to just check everyone out, she went on to say. I began to panic and I felt the words reveal the truth of what she had said. She allowed me to talk to Brycen and he tried to assure me that everyone was okay. It didn't work because I could barely talk. I hung up the phone and called my mom to meet at the hospital. As I sit and type these words my heart races as I know the things that were to come. St. Mary's hospital is where I had had two of the boys, so I felt like I knew it well, and that if they could bring little one's into the world that they would be able to save one if need be. I sat in the waiting room with the baby as I saw Papaw Jeff carry Ty in. His face was all scratched up and the look on Jeff's face was one of shear shock. I grabbed Ty and I just began to pray. I don't even remember what I prayed, but it was almost like the holy spirit just prayed through my fear. I rocked back and forth with tears streaming down my face, as I did not know what was wrong with him, but I knew he wasn't breathing well and that there was terrible smell oozing from his body. It came to be that St Mary's couldn't help him and so they transferred him to UT. There is when Brad met me and that we found out that Ty was in grave danger. Brad broke down, and I felt like my life was about to be turned upside down. When the ER md come in the room and told us of all his injuries, it was like the rug had been pulled out from under us. The nights events had been such a roller coaster ride. One moment it was looking good and then here we are looking at our two year old and wondering if he would be with us in the morning. I soon found out that that familiar smell was the liver secreting due to it being severed. It was consider a grade 4 injury and 5 being deadly. He had 10 fractured ribs, a punctured lung, two fractured jaws, and a fractured mandible. We finally breathed a sigh of relief later on that night when the ct scan revealed there was no spinal cord injury. The liver injury was causing his blood levels to drop at a drastically high rate. This was the main focus throughout the night. It was about 7:45am that morning when the Doctor making rounds came to see us and told us we had made it through the critical window, and that Ty was a fighter and that he looked like he was going to be fine, but he would have a long road to recovery. I should have told you that the wreak was with his older brother and with his Nannie. They were trying to get on the four wheeler, when Brycen's toy hit the gas. This caused the atv to spin and then flip. It threw Brycen off, and it rolled over on Nannie and they think on to Ty. As the Doctor left, I looked over at Ty and I knew he was a fighter, but I also knew who gave him the will to fight. You see there was a lobby full of friends, family and church members who never ceased in their prayers. They had formed a safe haven over that hospital that night and they allowed God to be shown to every one in that ER room that night. That next day, on one could explain how Ty's grade 4 injury had now been classified as a grade 2 maybe even a 1. God had touch Ty and he had revealed His grace to us. Ty had a tough three months of no activity....no bicycle, no trampoline, no sports, no nightly ritual of wrestling with dad! It was terrible seeing how badly he wanted to play but couldn't. That is Ty...90 miles an hour, and always with a competition on his mind. God healed Ty that night, and I will forever be grateful for allowing us to see His handy work through our son.
Last but not least, is our 15month old Colton. We once again were not expecting another child, but God found us in need of yet another little boy. We didn't find out what we were having, like that would allow us to have a girl or something. But honestly I felt deep in my heart that we were having a girl right up until the night before we were going into the hospital. We had the girl name, but we had not yet decided on the boy name. Brad called and suggested Vance. Oh I about died when he went on to tell me of the rock band with Van morrision. That 80's music has got a grip unforetold on my husband! I quickly told him to move on to the next name, which he told me was Colton. I loved it. It sounded great with John, and then I felt inside that maybe I was having a boy. Then when we were admitted that morning for induction the nurse that prepped me, her last name was Colton. It was that moment that I knew we were having a boy. By the time delivery came I didn't care what we were having I just wanted it out! But once again, I feel instantly in love with this little spit ball of fire Denton boy! This little chubby boy was the sweetest little thing, that only added and I feel may have completed this family. He too is blond hair, and blue eyed little boy. Oh how I fear those teenage years, when the girls are to be conquered. Brad and I can already set the scene when the phone rings off the hook, and the dates are continuous. My prayer is that they each grow into men of integrity and men of good character. Men who love the Lord, and respect others. I hope that they treat others like they want to be treated, and that they look to needs of others that they can meet. I pray that they each find that niche in the world to call their own, and they give a 100% in all they try. I am not nieve enough to think that failure is not in their future, but I pray that they meet each trial with knowledge that they can do all things through Christ that strenghtens them(phillipians 4:13). I pray that they each come to know Christ as their personal Lord and savior. I pray that they walk close to Him, and hide His words in their heart. I pray that Brad and I always set good examples for them to follow, and to led them in the ways that Christ would have us to. I love them each more than words could say, and I feel like they are each a blessing from God.
